Kate Dirks, CNM
A transplanted Midwesterner, Kate holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Oberlin College. After working as a researcher at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Kate returned to Emory University for her graduate studies. She is dual-certified as a Nurse Midwife and Family Nurse Practitioner. While at Emory, Kate served as President of Health Students Taking Action Together, a non-profit advocating for improved health policy in Georgia. She was the recipient of the Nell Hodgson Woodruff Silver Bowl Award for academic excellence and the Fuld Service Learning Fellowship. Kate is a passionate advocate for women’s health, and believes it is central to the well-being of our families and communities. She feels called to empower women through their experiences of health care, pregnancy, and birth.
Kate lives in the Cabbagetown neighborhood of Atlanta. In her free time, she enjoys playing the violin, outdoor adventuring, and spending time with her two kittens and partner, Vance.Back to Providers
